If you are locked out of your room during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm), you can visit the Baity Office to get a spare key. The office is located at 1503 Baity Hill Dr. Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
If you are locked out outside of business hours, you will need to contact the CRA on call at 984-363-5562

KioSoft-operated laundries are located in every residential community. In communities with multiple buildings such as Lower Quad and Upper Quad, the laundry room may be in a neighboring building. For more information and laundry resources, please visit the Auxiliary Services website!
Chapel Hill Transit provides fare-free bus service between UNC, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro. Park-and-Ride lots are available for daytime riders. Additionally, you may use Zipcar. Zipcar is a convenient car-sharing service which allows employees, students and visitors to access a vehicle, so there is no need to bring a car to campus.
In the event of an emergency, call 911. For non-emergencies, you can call UNC Campus Police at their non-emergency number, 919- 962-8100.
Alert Carolina is an Emergency Alert System that provides updates for adverse weather, crime alerts, emergency warnings, and updates about emergency campus situations. If you don’t have a UNC PID you can download the Carolina Ready Safety App.
You may notice Blue Call Boxes across campus. These are Emergency Call Boxes that allows you to call University Police. They are contacted and given your location as soon as the receiver is lifted, even if you don't speak.
270 exterior door security cameras have been installed in the residence halls. These cameras are positioned to record images of people as they enter the buildings. These cameras will not be actively monitored and will not record individuals or activities elsewhere in the residence halls, most notably hallways, bathrooms or student rooms.
